I made the short trek down to Point Roberts during low tide, hoping the rocky shoreline would offer some surprises—and it didn’t disappoint.

The grey skies and seafoam churn made a moody backdrop as I followed a young bald eagle navigating the driftwood-strewn beach. One moment, it squared off with a bold crow standing its ground on a weathered stump; the next, it was taking flight, harried by that same crow in a relentless aerial standoff.
